In the late-1980s, a new type of vehicle entered monster truck events, the monster tank. These vehicles are typically military tanks or personnel carriers, upgraded with bigger engines & street-vehicle bodies. This is a compilation featuring some of the best of the monster tanks.

Blacksmith (Pablo Huffaker) racing Blue Thunder (Lyle Hancock) in the second round of competition at the Monster Jam World Finals 2, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pablo finished this race with a wild cartwheel-flip, landing on top of the wall at the end of the track.

This race was rather unusual, as both trucks suffer breakage, and do not cross the finish line. Heartbeat loses a rear axle, while Duraliner breaks the left front tire on the junk car set.
