Yet another one of my favourite tunes from the 80s - 1984 to be exact. First heard it on the very first NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC doube LP and was attracted to the guitar, strings, vocal and melodious tune immediately.

'The Letter Scene'. Every good opera, or film must have a Letter Scene! La Traviata being an apt example. This one rates as one of the best! Without the superb acting of Maggie Smith, and Celia Johnsone, it could so easily have become a mere parody of what Muriel Spark intended. 10/10.
