Terje Rypdal`s and Carl Jørgen Kiønig`s rockopera/musical "Phantasma" were played at Det Norske Teatret, Oslo, in march and april 2003. This is the opening. The orchestra sound was inspired by "Silver Bird is heading for the Sun", and a mellotron had to be ordered from a manufacturer in Sweden. Rypdal on guitar, Paolo Vinaccia on drums, and others.

Kjell Karlsens Orkester was the leading entertainment- and ballroom-orchestra in Norway in the sixties. The stars in this performance is a 20 year old Terje Rypdal (guest star) and trumpet player Finn Eriksen.
One of those magic performances by Zawinul & Shorter. Where and when is unknown, but the other musicians (Thompson, Badrena and Johnson) and that "Badia" was performed on this show (not included in this clip)indicates 1975.
