Here is the first ReptilePad SandFire Bearded Dragon Hatchling about 30 minutes after he hatched. He's showing some nice coloration and is VERY feisty! 9 more should be hatching within the next day or so.
This is Ra our purple albino reticulated python. I figured it was time for an updated vid on him. He's growing like a weed and developing into the best snake I've ever seen. Big thanks again to Mike Wilbanks from Constrictors Unlimited for such an awesome animal.
I love my snakes but don't love buying rodents. So... I breed my own. Before I get a ton of hate comments, these rodents live the life of luxury before they go to rodent heaven. If you really feel bad about a helpless rodent being eaten then I'd suggest you stop eating meat.
www.reptilepad.com Ok so now that I've put in a plug for our website let me tell you about the eggs. Our Sandfire Bearded Dragons have done the deed (many times) and our female dropped these eggs today. These eggs look great and I think that we'll have some awesome little beardies on our hands in three months.
This is a video of when our Burmese Pythons arrived in the mail from Snowbound Serpents. These guys were pretty calm while we were unpacking them but soon warmed up and showed us their personalities!
These beauties came in from Celia and Shawn at Exotics By Nature. Both are 100% het Hypomelanistic. They both also have unusual crescents. Can't wait till they pop out some hypos. These are East Bay Vivarium line.
I couldn't put this little guy down when I saw him at a reptile show. I can't believe how cool these geckos are. They are also VERY easy to care for and make a great choice for a first reptile. I have a feeling that we'll wind up with a couple of breeding trios of these awesome reptiles.
www.reptilepad.com is our site and This is a video of when Ra, our purple albino retic, arrived from Mike Wilbanks at Constrictors Unlimited. I just couldn't beleive the colors on this guy and he gets brighter and brighter every shed.
Ok, so what do you do when one of your snakes refuses to eat a perfectly good adult mouse?? GET A BULL FROG!!! These guys are garbage disposals! More vids and pics at www.reptilepad.com
This gal is from Dave Colling at Rainbows - R - Us - Reptiles. She is called an Eclipse Phase because of her lack of crescents. In their place are solid black dots. She's in shed right now and the video is a little dark but you can really see the difference between her and a normal. Awesome animal! It was a pleasure doing business with Dave as well.
I've been wanting to get a few hypo hondurans for the past couple of years but wanted to wait for something truly exceptional. Well.... these to are IT. Can't wait to see what they produce.
This 07 male from Bryan Hummel is going to be unreal! You truly can't capture the color on this one on camera. A VERY red hatchling. I've never seen a hatchling this red before. I can't wait to see what he produces.
OK so today we had a twofer! The weather is so nice right now in Colorado all of our previous reptile orders are coming in. This guy is a Sunburst from Sandfire Dragon Ranch. He's going to get REALLY Yellow. He'll look like a Citrus!
This is a native species to Colorado and one tough snake. These guys will puff up, hiss, and show you their black mouth if you get them worked up. My best friend Justin caught this guy for me and I'm gonna spoil the little guy this winter.
This male Barons Racer is about a year old and doing very well. These have to be some of the nicest colubrids out there. Rear fanged and mildly venomous but harmless to humans.
Here is an interesting look at the color change that a black milk snake goes through as it ages. These two snakes are the same age but show a pretty extreme color difference.
A male 100% het hypo BRB from Exotics By Nature. We'll produce some East Bay Vivarium line hypomelanistic BRBs with him in a few years. Very nice BRB even without carrying the hypo gene!
A very bright Red AND Orange Brazilian. Contrast typically fades as Brazilians get older but by the looks of Rosa's parents, I think she'll turn out to be a VERY high Red. Rosa came from Dave Colling at Rainbows-R-Us reptiles.
Here is an update on what RA looks like today. It's hard to beleive how fast Retics grow. Take a look at our video "Reticulated Python Arrives" to see what this guy looked like in July 06.
