I forgot to add a clip on how I prefer to take the batt off the drum, so I edited it and it is now in the clip towards the end. In Part 1 we'll learn how to prepare fiber for carding.

In this video I note a few things I forgot to mention in PT 1, then we roll through to learning how to braid roving into those pretty thangs you see on etsy, and finally a bit of insanely (I said stupidly in the vid..I am a dork)simple twine dyeing to produce varying shades of one color of dye on yarn. The BF took this video of promotion night. I went up to orange belt. Proof that even the chubbiest among us CAN do what everyone else can. I may be fat, but I will not let the negative social view of fat persons keep from doing what the hell I want! So there. Take that. Don't like how my flab shakes? Well then move it along! Your flock of sheep awaits you...
I went to see the black belt promotions for 4 different KA schools, along with the one I attend. It was a chance to see what I have to look forward to. My instructor is in the last clip, the one with the really big suit. I was in the second row, so there is a head in the video here and there from the guy in front of me. I was pretty lucky to find the near front seat!
