The tweed selections of the Super Champ XD, first the Champ, with spring reverb, than tremolo, followed by the Bassman and finally the mean Deluxe. Guitar is my Lap King Blackbird (the hum come sfrom the P90, coz' I'm next to the amp!).
The new Vox AC15HTVH head, with 2xalnico blue Vox cab, Blade R4 and Red repeat echo. There's proly some mistakes, I'm not familiar with the Shadows songs ;-) .
Sadly, I had to use attenuation (Hotplate -12dB with treble and bass on) because my digital camera doesn't tolerate high volume.
Now at VERY LOW volume - fact is you can even hear the strings! Recorded at 2 in the morning (and yeah, you guess it, the night of the arena 02 Led Zep gig).
The vid of my Glive "Shuffle défi" song, using my Squier '51 (it's stock, no mods except the neck pickup cover - I prefer it black) .
Thx to Valiantstamp for the great backtrack!

This is a demo of a very cheap guitar, the 130$ SX SJM-62. Still, even if it comes with an awfull setup (or should I say NO setup at all), if you take care of it (took me two hours), you get a very Jazzmaster-like instrument. The amp is a '70 Fender Princeton reverb, no pedal.
Let me introduce a 47 years old lady. I love it to death, she's heavily battered but still playing like day one. Oh, and on't worry about the clothes, I'm doing some paint job at home ;-)
Two classics Beatles riffs, one from the Kinks and a blues impro, with the Vox's EF86 channel set to light crunch. Guitar is the Blade R4, echo is the Carl Martin red repeat. I had to use heavy attenuation (Hotplate, -12 dB with treble and bass on) becaus emy digital camera doesn't record well high volumes.
So, a bit of slide (a ceramic Joe Perry's one) with my '64 Gibson SG jr with the high (not low like I say in the clip!) E string tuned down to D. It allows you to alternate normal and slide playing with ease. Amp is my Marshall 2061X and there's only a little delay (Carl Martin Red Repeat).
A decent ACDC rythm tone with dirt cheap gear? Take a Squier '51, with a GFS Liverpool pickup at the bridge (and no neck pickup), an Epiphone Valve junior head and a 1x12" G12H30 box and ..."voilà" .
Song by Leadbelly, but more in it's Rory Gallagher way of playing it here - well, I'd like to, coz I'm not half the player and singer he was ;-). Had to shorten it too coz I can't presently record any longer.
